This narrative score (above) was derived from the circular matrix score (below). We worked with the matrix for a year before deciding on the linear progression of the vocal parts. Though we initially used this score to explore intonation, consonant and vowel sounds, the final score included sustained pitches. The pitched areas were indeterminate, and are color coded. The non-pitched areas are spoken in as slightly intoned speech.
